Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation Announces Purchase 13 Front St W, Strathroy
STRATHROY, ON, March 28, 2023 – The Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation is thrilled to announce its recent purchase of 13 Front St W in Strathroy, Ontario, formerly known as Rumors Bar & Grill.
The acquisition of this property marks a significant milestone for the Foundation, as it continues its mission to promote the arts in the Strathroy-Caradoc area, adhering to the vision of the benefactors of the Foundation siblings, Don, Bill, Clark, Ernest and Dr. Mary Wright. The newly acquired property will provide a space for local artists and performers to showcase their talents and contribute to the growth of the arts community.
We are excited to provide a venue for the community to come together and experience the arts in all its mediums,” said Keith Blackwell, Chairman of the Wright Family Performing Arts and Entertainment Centre Foundation. “This acquisition reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting and supporting the arts in Strathroy-Caradoc.”
The Foundation plans to invest in the necessary renovations to transform the space into a multipurpose arts and performance venue. Once completed, it will offer an exceptional platform for local artists and performers, and attract renowned acts to Strathroy.
Alongside this exciting news, the Foundation continues its work to provide funding to individuals and groups through their Community Fund ensuring the vision of fostering the arts in the area is brought to life. The Fund provides financial support for individuals and a wide range of groups in arts and cultural education.
