Venue Policies & Practices

By attending out events, all guests, volunteers and staff members agree to obide by the following policies and practices:

Cancellation/Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final sale. We do not issue refunds, exchanges or credit for ticket purchases except for cancellations by headliner or venue. In the event of a venue cancellation, ticket holders will be notified and refunds will be issued. In the event of an event being rescheduled or postponed, ticket holders will be notified and refunds, exchanges or credits will be issued at the discretion of the venue. 

 

For events where tickets are sold externally, refund and cancellation policies may differ and not in the control of The Wright Place. Please refer to their policies when purchasing tickets. 

Accessibility

The Wright Place is wheelchair accessible, with no steps to enter the building, access washrooms, bar or audience space. The venue currently does not have automatic doors, but an event volunteer will be happy to help with access. Event lighting, noise levels and volume of attendance will differ. Service animals are always welcome.

Parking

The Wright Place does not have private parking. Guests can find free street parking or free public lots surrounding the venue. 

Photos/Recording

Photos and recording for personal use only is allowed in the venue, unless otherwise stated. We ask that guests refrain from flash photography to not interfere with performers or audience members. 

Substances Policy

Smoking and vaping is prohibited in the venue. No outside alcohol is permitted on the premises. Absolutely no illegal drug or drug paraphernalia is permitted on the premises. At licensed events, those 19 years and older will be ID’d in order to purchase alcohol. There is ZERO tolerance for underage drinking. Minors found drinking will be removed from the venue immediately. Non-alcoholic drink options will be available for purchase at the bar. 

Outside food & drink

We ask that no outside food and drink be brought into the venue with the exception of bottled water. No outside alcohol is permitted on the premises.  

Guest Code of Conduct

We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable space for guests, volunteers and talent. The Wright Place is committed to creating a harassment-free environment that is welcoming for everyone including, but not limited to people of all races, religions, ethnicities, sexes, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, abilities and physical appearances.

 

All guests visiting The Wright Place are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  • Respect boundaries and be considerate of others

  • Refrain from:

    • Demeaning or discriminatory behaviour and speech

    • Unwelcome attention, physical contact and harassment

    • Bringing prohibited items such as outside food, alcohol, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia or weapons of any kind 

    • Smoking or vaping in the venue

    • Intoxication

    • Disturbing performers or fellow guests

    • Displaying violent behaviour

  • Follow directions of staff and volunteers. All event volunteers and staff members will treat guests in a consistent, professional and courteous manner. 

 

If you witness or are subject to a violation of our policies, please let the closest event volunteer or staff member know as soon as possible. If these policies are not followed, violators will be escorted from the venue.

 

We greatly appreciate all guests and patrons for attending our events and abiding to the code of conduct to ensure the collective safety and enjoyment of arts and entertainment in our community.
